FinOps Foundationがクラウド フィナンシャル マネジメントと教育を推進するための協力体制を業界全体から幅広く結集

新興のクラウド フィナンシャル マネジメント分野における教育やベストプラクティスを強化するLinux Foundationの新しい取り組みにおいて、創立メンバーとしてApptio、Google、VMWareを代表するメンバーが技術諮問委員会に加わりました。

2020年8月20日 サンフランシスコ発― オープンソースを通じた大規模イノベーションの実現に取り組む非営利団体であるLinux Foundationは、ベストプラクティス・教育・標準確立を通じたクラウド フィナンシャル マネジメント分野の推進を目的としたFinOps Foundationの設立を発表しました。Linux Foundationは6月にOpen Source Summit North AmericaにてFinOps Foundationの設立計画を発表していましたが、本日、創立メンバーであるApptio、Cloudeasier、Cloudsoft、CloudWize、Contino、Kubecost、Neos、Opsani、ProsperOps、Timspirit、VMwareのサポートを受けてFinOps Foundationの設立を発表しました。

新規に設置された技術諮問委員会 (Technical Advisory Council : TAC)Technical Advisory CouncilにはApptio、Google、VMWareの代表者を招き入れるほか、Atlassian、Nationwide、Pearsonの代表者が既存のプラクティショナー メンバーとして名を連ねます。TACの規則はメンバーを指名あるいは投票により選出することを定めており、今後はエンドユーザーのプラクティショナーも加わる予定です。TACの初期メンバーは以下の通りです：

• Eugene Khvostov 氏 (Apptio、製品・エンジニアリング部門 VP)
• Matt Leonard氏 (Google、Compute Cloud billings製品マネジメント リード)
• John McLoughlin 氏 (VMWare、CloudHealth製品マネジメント ディレクター)

FinOps Foundationのエグゼクティブ ディレクターであるJ.R. Storment 氏は、次のように述べています。

FinOps認定プラットフォーム (FinOps Certified Platform : FCP) は、クラウド フィナンシャル マネジメントを導入するためのソフトウェア ソリューションを提供する、事前資格審査に合格したテクノロジー プロバイダです。開始時のパートナーはApptio Cloudability、CloudHealth by VMware、CloudWize、Kubecost、Opsani、ProsperOpsとなります。

FinOps認定サービス プロバイダー (FinOps Certified Service Provider : FCSP) は、クラウド フィナンシャル マネジメントを導入する企業のサポートにおいて深い経験を有する、事前資格審査に合格したテクノロジー プロバイダです。FCSPパートナーはクラウド フィナンシャル マネジメントの導入に踏み切ろうとする企業や団体に対して、FinOpsにおけるサポート・コンサルティング・プロフェッショナル サービス・トレーニングなどを提供します。開始時のパートナーはApptio、Cloudeasier、Cloudsoft、Contino、Neos、Timspiritとなります。

またFinOps Foundationでは、一部のFinOpsトレーニングパートナー (FinOps Training Partners : FTP) を認定します。事前審査に合格したこれらのトレーニング パートナーはいずれも、クラウド フィナンシャル マネジメントにおける深い経験を有するパートナーとなり、開始時のパートナーはApptio、Cloudeasier、Contino、VMwareとなります。
