2019年7月11日サンフランシスコ発 ー ハードウェア、シリコン、アプリケーション クラウド、OS から独立したエッジ IoT コンピューティングのためのオープンで相互運用可能なフレームワークの確立を目指す Linux Foundation 傘下の統括組織 LF Edge のプロジェクトである EdgeX Foundry は、Edinburgh のリリースを発表しました。グローバルなエコシステムによって共同開発された EdgeX Foundry の新リリースは、IoT ユースケースのデジタル変革を可能にする鍵となる技術であり、多くのバーティカル市場の開発者とエンドユーザー両方にリアルワールド アプリケーションのためのプラットフォームを提供します。EdgeX コミュニティ メンバーは、商用サポート、トレーニング、カスタマー パイロット プログラムのほか、デバイス接続性、アプリケーション、データ & システム管理、セキュリティのためのプラグイン拡張など、さまざまな補完的製品とサービスを開発しました。

2017年4月に発足し、現在 LF Edge 傘下の EdgeX Foundry は、オープンソースの疎結合マイクロサービス フレームワークで、拡大するエコシステムからプラグ アンド プレイするか、またはプロプライエタリなイノベーションを強化するか選択できます。IoT Edge にフォーカスすることで、EdgeX は、インダストリアル / エンタープライズ / コンシューマー向けアプリケーション全体のソリューションを設計、開発、デプロイするプロセスを簡素化します。

EdgeX Foundry の市場での利用状況
