Congratulations to the five finalists in The Linux Foundation’s 2012 “Inspired by Linux” T-shirt Design Contest! This year we received just shy of 90 contest entries and competition for the finalists was tough. A special thanks to the entrants who submitted their artwork for consideration. Your creativity and enthusiasm for Linux are an inspiration to us all.
It’s now time for the community to vote on its favorite design. Check out the designs, below, then head to our voting gallery for more information on the artists and to choose your favorite.
This year we’ve taken additional steps to ensure a fair voting process. Voters must be registered members of Linux.com and must be logged in to vote. Only one vote per person is allowed.
Two winners will be chosen. The design that receives the most votes from the community will receive first place and will be reimbursed $2,000 to be applied toward airfare, hotel and admissions to their choice of LinuxCon North America in San Diego, CA on Aug. 26 – 29, 2012, or LinuxCon Europe in Barcelona, Spain Nov. 5-7, 2012. Second place will be reimbursed $1,000 toward LinuxCon North America or LinuxCon Europe in 2012.
Winners will be announced on or around July 17, 2012. And the top two designs will be printed on T-shirts and made available for purchase in the Linux.com store. Proceeds from the sale will help support Linux and The Linux Foundation.
